Sermon Audio

Hearing and Following the Shepherd (Proper 19C: September 15, 2013)
My last sermon as Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Flushing MI.

I reflect on how we listen and follow God in our future ministries, and how we listen together as community. God will be guiding us and working through us to bless others. There's a special appearance by a clip from The Black Eyed Peas at the end as a gift, since parishioners had connected to my use of this in a Christmas Eve sermon a couple years ago.

Nourished by Scripture (Proper 28C 2007)

Reflecting on an attack on Bishop Benjamin Kwashi of Jos, Nigeria, and the Collect prayer that we would not only read and learn scripture but digest it. Includes reading of the Gospel at the beginning.

Who are our "lepers"? (Proper 23C: October 13, 2013)
Preached as supply priest at Grace Episcopal Church, Lapeer MI.

The Gospel for the day is Jesus healing 10 lepers, who do we treat as lepers today? Examples reflected upon include the LGBT community and the experience of Malala Yousafzai. Being willing to speak up at injustice.

We Are The Church (Easter 6C: May 5 2013)
Paul's travels in the book of Acts lead him to encounter Lydia. How might we apply his travels and ministry to our call to be the church today? The building is not the church, we are, wherever we go, all week long.
